What personal data we collect and why

Contact form enquiries

When you submit our contact form, we collect the information you provide (name, email address, subject, message) along with some technical information captured automatically: your IP address, browser, device type, and approximate location (city/country derived from your IP). This is stored in our website database and a copy is emailed to us.

We use this data to respond to your enquiry. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in dealing with enquiries about our services, or steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract, depending on the nature of your enquiry.

We may use contact form submissions for marketing, but we do not sell or share them for advertising purposes.

Security and spam protection

We use third-party services for site security, spam protection, and embedded content such as maps and login protection. Some of these providers may be based outside the EEA; see our Cookie Policy for the current list of providers and what each one does.

Where your data is sent

Some of the security, spam-protection, and embedded-content providers listed in our Cookie Policy are based outside the EEA. Where personal data is transferred to them, the transfer is covered by the safeguards each provider has in place under EU data protection law (such as Standard Contractual Clauses), as set out in their own privacy policies. We do not control or customise these safeguards ourselves — we rely on each provider’s standard arrangements.

Our website hosting and backups are based in Ireland. Backups are not currently sent to any third-party storage provider.

How long we keep your data

Contact form enquiries are kept for 24 months from your last contact with us, after which they are deleted from our database. If your enquiry becomes a project, we may keep related correspondence for longer as part of that project’s records.

Security-related logs are kept only as long as needed for security purposes, on a shorter cycle than contact form data.

What rights you have over your data

You have the right to:

Ask us to correct inaccurate data
Ask us to delete your data
Ask us to restrict how we use your data
Object to how we use your data
Ask for your data to be provided to you in a portable format
